On December 7th – the inaugural edition of the infamous dining guide has reached Bangkok with a total of 26 restaurants being awarded stars.
It has been long in the waiting to bring the coveted guide to the food capital of Asia and the tourism board of Thailand sees it an incredible addition to the already well-respected culinary destination worldwide.
From street food hawkers to glitzy dining rooms overlooking the Chao Phraya river, the guide covers a total of 126 culinary hotspots across the city based on their system, which is awarded consistently throughout the world – meaning a one star Michelin rated restaurant in Bangkok must be as good as one star Michelin rated restaurant in London.
